Let’s discuss your setupDoes a Mac mini make my clinic HDS compliant?
A Mac mini lets you run selected AI processing at your clinic without sending its content to an external AI provider. On its own, it does not provide HDS certification under the French health-data hosting framework or guarantee GDPR compliance. Records remain in the Nextmotion cloud, within the applicable HDS hosting scope. Your clinic still needs to manage access, backups, usage and integrations.
Which data is processed locally?
Audio and prompts for features configured in local mode are processed on your Mac mini: transcription, Consult AI, Jarvis assistance, post-call analysis and AI nodes in compatible workflows. Useful results can be saved to your Nextmotion record. A workflow connected to an external service may send data to that service: its destinations must be selected and approved.
Can I install and maintain the solution myself?
Yes. The guided installer is included in your Nextmotion subscription. You can manage updates, monitoring and backups yourself or delegate them to your IT provider. Nextmotion maintenance at €199/month excluding VAT is optional. Without it, you keep using your installation and take responsibility for running it.
What happens if the Mac mini is switched off?
Local services become unavailable; tasks that support queuing wait until the system is available again. Your records and Nextmotion cloud features remain accessible with an Internet connection. Nothing is silently sent to cloud AI: any fallback must have been explicitly authorised.
Are photos and videos stored only at the clinic?
No. The local copy speeds up access to media already in the cache. The Nextmotion cloud remains the source of record; the cache replaces neither cloud hosting nor a backup. An encrypted external SSD can extend local capacity. Media that is not available locally requires a cloud connection.
Does the entire phone service run on the Mac?
Post-call transcription, summaries and outcome classification can run locally. Call transport and telecom providers remain separate. The voice agent that speaks to callers in real time is not included in this local scope.
How does remote maintenance work?
Maintenance access is authorised, limited and logged. Monitoring checks the health of the installation without collecting consultation content or prompts by default. The plan includes tested updates, configuration and n8n backups, and one hour of remote assistance per month, with no rollover. Support is available on business days, with a target response within one business day and no guaranteed resolution time.
Can I cancel maintenance without losing my local AI?
Yes. Cancelling maintenance does not disable your installation. You resume responsibility for monitoring, updates and backups. The Nextmotion subscription required for the features you use remains separate. One-off assistance is available at €120/hour excluding VAT, by prior agreement.
